I was on vacation from 20th February to 27th February. I put my cellphone on silent mode and just logged off from the outside world. No emails, no phone calls. After the vacation, when I rejoined office on 28th February, I felt a lot fresher and raring to go. I guess such vacations are required once in a while, especially when you are close to a burnout.
And what did I do at home for all those days? I solved Su-Do-Ku puzzles ( http://www.sudoku.com ). I had purchased a book "Sudoku 2006 - A year's supply of Sudoku" from Penguin Publications. There are 365 puzzles and each one of them is starred from 1 to 5 - the most difficult being 5 stars. I am yet to solve a puzzle with 5 stars (I guess it's a bit too difficult for starters). But it helped me rekindle my passion for numbers and it was great giving some work to my brain which did not involve coding and software. After solving the puzzles, I found the ones which come in the newspapers as pretty easy. I guess creating a Sudoku puzzle by itself is an art. As of now, I am hooked to solving them.
