I found that I have left a lot of important people in my last posting. So I am continuing my list today (I hope I don't keep doing this forever!!!).
The most important person I missed out is my sister. My mom says that a few days after she was born no one was allowed near her. But she was MY sister and so I had every right to go near her (even the nurse did not stop me). And I remember feeling her hands and wondering how small and soft they are. But nowadays since I am staying away from home, our contact has lessened. But a big 'Thank You' to my sister for just being my sister.
When I was young I had a big bunch of relatives from my own generation who used to come around me shouting 'santosh anna, we will play this' or 'santosh anna, we will go there' (sometimes they even do that now). They were all younger than me and we had a great time playing together. A big 'Thank you' to all my relatives for just being there.
I had a short stint at XLRI where I did a part-time MBA course. I had to go the campus at Jamshedpur for 3 weeks every 4 months. I really enjoyed those 3 weeks. We had classes from sunrise to well past sunset and in addition to that we had case studies, assignments and presentations to be completed the next day. I remember once I went to sleep at 3 AM and had to get up at 5 AM. But it was fun. I had to discontinue the course right in the middle and the batch would have completed the course this year. A 'Thank You' to all my batch mates for supporting me and enjoying my presentations.
I guess I have to stop my 'Thank You's here. I might have left a lot of people here. But it was never intended to be a complete list. So a big 'Thank you' to whoever must have been here but are not there!!!
